The store offers gently used and brand-new items, such as clothes, footwear, outerwear, accessories and housewares, for everyone. And best of all, 100% of all purchases support Ginny’s Food Pantry!

Clothes, Footwear and Outerwear
  • Infants and Children: $0.25 to $3.00
  • Teens and Adults: $4.00 to $10.00
Accessories
  • Scarves, Ties and Belts: $1 each and up
  • Jewelry: $0.25 and up
  • Purses and Backpacks: $1.00 and up
Housewares
  • Towels and Bedding: $2.00 and up
  • Tablecloths and Napkins: $1.00 and up
  • Curtains and Pillows: $2.00 and up

Ginny’s accepts cash and credit/debit cards ($5 minimum).

There are fitting rooms at Ginny’s, but there are no mirrors.

All sales at Ginny’s a final. You may return any item as a donation, but we do not make refunds.

DONATION GUIDELINES

How to donate to the Thrift Store.

Ginny’s Helping Hands is grateful to our community for the donation of clean and new or gently used items, with 100% of Thrift Store proceeds supporting the Food Pantry.

Accepted items for donation include:

  • Clothing (clean and empty pockets)
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Scarves
  • Belts & suspenders
  • Neck ties
  • Handbags, purses, backpacks
  • Blankets & pillows
  • Sheets & pillowcases
  • Towels & washcloths
  • Curtains, tablecloths, runners, napkins

Ginny’s Helping Hand does not accept furniture, appliances, books, cookware, etc.

Appointments to donate to the thrift store are not required, but donations are only accepted during regular hours and by bringing donations inside and placing them in the white canvas bin to the left at the top of the stairs. Do not leave anything outside.

If you would like a receipt, please ask a member of Team Ginny’s at the front desk.

All donated items are hand sorted by a member of Team Ginny’s who price and display the items in the Thrift Store. Items not able to be sold in the Thrift Store will be sold to Planet Aid.

What kinds of donations do you accept? Do I need an appointment?

We accept clean and new or gently used donations of clothing, shoes, jewelry, scarves, belts, ties, handbags, backpacks, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels and curtains. You do not need an appointment; simply come during our regular hours and bring your donations inside. Do not leave anything outside. If you would like a receipt, please see a member of Team Ginny’s at the front desk.

What is your Exchange Policy?

You may return any item as a donation, but we do not make any refunds.

Do you have a dressing room to try on clothes?

Yes, we have fitting rooms, but we have no mirrors.

Where should I park when I come to Ginny’s?

Parking is available on both sides of Mechanic Street and a few spaces on Mechanic Street close to Ginny’s front door. Please do not block Ginny’s loading dock.

Is Ginny’s ADA accessible?

Yes! As of April 2022, thanks to the George R. Wallace Foundation, the front door to Ginny’s has an electric lift next to the stairs.

Do you need volunteers at Ginny’s?

Ginny’s Helping Hand operates with a mix of volunteers and paid staff. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Application Form.

Can I get to Ginny’s using public transportation?
Yes, you can reach us by bus and the Commuter Rail.

By bus:
Take a MART bus to Monument Square in downtown Leominster. It is approximately a three-minute walk (2 blocks) to Ginny’s Helping Hand at 52 Mechanic Street.

By Commuter Rail:
Use the North Leominster Train Station and take the MART Bus to Monument Square in downtown Leominster. It is approximately a three-minute walk (2 blocks) to Ginny’s Helping Hand at 52 Mechanic Street.

This is the most organized thrift shop I have ever seen. Clothes are even organized by color. Prices are extremely reasonable. Donations are very easy, they just have a bin inside to place the donations.
